Hi
I have a asus Maximus Hero z790 with 13900k in windows 10. I have 0 problem with bios 2801. I do the Asus bios update 3001 and now my thunderbolt 4 dont works. I have see a firmware update of the thunderbolt after the bios update... Now in windows i have a bridge pci to pci and my thunderbolt is not working anymore. I have the last chipset and driver.
How i can roll back this firmware update because roll back the bios to 2801 change nothing.
Thank you.

Have you consulted ASUS about this?

I understand, but it is their bios that did this.

I would try calling them.

As you have already noted, ASUS issued BIOS 3001 in May and then in July issued a separate Intel Management Engine (ME) firmware update. The latest Intel ME driver is V2517.8.1.0 issued in July just before the firmware update and the most recent Intel chipset driver is V10.1.20062.8627 that came out at the same time. In theory as long as these two drivers are installed there should not be any problems. But ASUS did not release a newer Thunderbolt driver and the most recent is the one from October 2022. This may be an issue.

I don't know if you use ASUS DriverHub available from here , but it will ensure that there are no missing drivers.

ASUS has a community support forum for owners of ROG products such as the Maximus Hero z790. The section for Intel 600/700 series motherboards can be found here  and may be able to provide a solution somewhat more promptly.

So definitely not anything to do with drivers. Hopefully the ROG forum can come up with an answer and/or ASUS support.
