Does Intel supply thermal paste when you buy a new CPU?

Hi there,

I am not sure for this one, I think some of the boxed CPU comes with thermal paste or thermal pad.

Check on these website:

http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-020033.htm http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-020033.htm

http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-030339.htm http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-030339.htm

Hope someone else can give you some light on this one.

Regards,

Aryan

Is it a boxed processor with heat sync and fan? Which processor are you purchasing and from where?

The CPU's usually come complete with a heat sync and fan. The paste is on the heat sync ready to install on the CPU. If it is a replacement CPU, then yes - they usually give you a syringe with thermal paste.
