Ultra 9 285K Graphics update causes black screen

I have a new ASUS X890 Motherboard with an Ultra 9 285K processor.  I have installed Windows 11 Pro 4 times and the installation goes great until I install the Intel Integrated Graphics Driver, "Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver V32.0.101.6556 for Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit".  Upon installation, the screen goes black forever and "Game Over".  Windows 11 sets up great and all is well until I hit the install button.  Without the driver, I can have windows but my monitor is confined to a the low resolution that comes with the ASUS board and I am unable to adjust it.

I suspect there is someone at Intel that could tell me exactly what the fix is.  Maybe the CPU is defective and the internal graphics is just not there.  Maybe the ASUS motherboard or new graphics driver is switching me to an PCIe slot discrete graphics card that does not exist.

If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate hearing about your fix or just comments from anyone else that has experienced the black screen.  This is my second Intel product that has gone to black screen when a video driver was installed.  It is very frustrating.

Update the drivers for your motherboard to the latest versions if you have not already done so. The Intel chipset driver and Intel Management Engine (ME) Interface driver are the main two. ASUS DriverHub which can be downloaded from here is a convenient way to do this.

I don't know if you have the latest BIOS installed, updating to the most current version will also install the latest ME firmware update.

The ASUS BIOS has a graphics configuration section. Restarting your machine and pressing the Del key repeatedly will take you into the initial BIOS screen. From there you need Advanced > System Agent (SA) Configuration > Graphics Configuration.  On my system which is not Z890 the first item is Primary Display. I can set this to CPU graphics rather than AUTO. On the Z890 there may be an Internal Graphics option, Enabled or Disabled where the setting should be set to Enabled.

To test that your CPU is working correctly there is the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool that can be downloaded from here . As you are using the integrated graphics that will be tested as well.

Thank you for reply.  I have most current bios and have tried both ASUS and Intel's most current graphics driver's with the same result.   I was able to set my Bios Graphics option to Internal Graphics but with same black screen result.  I rechecked to verify the Bios still had it a IGPU.  I do not have a setting for Graphics Configuration. I cannot use the Intel Processor Diagnostic as I am not sure how I would load it or see results without a screen display. Thanks again for trying to untangle my web.
