Upgrade for PM965

Hello

 

I have a Notebook from a small Swiss company. It has a PM965 Chipset, CPU-Z says the Model is Crestline+ICH8M.

It features the T2390 CPU, which I want to upgrade.

The manual says that the maximum supported is T7700, but at the time there was no better CPU supported.

Thats why I wanted to ask, which CPU's I can use.

Only the motherboard manufacturer or the Original Equipment Manufacturer (on OEM systems) would be able to tell if a given processor will be compatible on a specific system. Specially if the laptop computer was released before the processor came out to the market, most likely the micro-code or the system BIOS will not be able to detect it. You should refer to the manufacturer of your laptop.
