What can I do with my i9-13900K

I have a intel i9-13900K processor and I have had so many issues with it for a very long time now sinc 15/11/2022. There has been many issues with the processor where people have been trying to fix the problem, motherboard problems etc. I have not been satisfied at all with the processor since i have had many crashes and I was not able to play any games because of the processor problems. There has even been game dev's where they had to listing that there are problems playing the game with the 13th and 14th gen processors and they have had to post a solution to be able to play the games. Where you need to get the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and turn down the Performance Core Ratio from 55x to 53x for games not to crash. I still need to do this for my CPU not to crash my PC. I was wondering if there is something i can do about this? Request a refund or anything at all. Because it is starting to get annoying to have paid so much money for a processor that does not even preform well...

Hello Wingus,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the community. Before we can proceed with the RMA process, we need to conduct some investigations within this forum. To better understand the issue you encountered with your system, please consider the following questions:

  • How frequently does the system crash each day?
  • Besides the crashing issue, have you experienced any Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors?
  • Could you share the other steps you have taken to isolate the issue, apart from lowering the core ratio?
  • Have you updated your BIOS?

Additionally, I have sent you an email requesting further details about your processor. Please check your inbox and spam folder for this email.

Note: Please refrain from posting the requested information here.

1. It used to crash almost every single day back in the days before i started using the Extreme tuning utility app. Whenever I started a game that was slightly "heavy".

2. I dont remeber what type of blue screen's i was getting but every single time i mention "crash" I mean a blue screen. I think it said something with memory and when i searched it up it was a CPU problem. I used to get BSOD every single time i wanted to play a game that was heavy on the PC, right now I dont get BSOD's anymore but when i normally play games and  i forgot to change the Performance Core Ratio the game just turns off.

3. I updated my BIOS because I read somewhere that there was a fix for the 13th and 14th gen CPU's to stop crashing and getting BSOD so I updated my BIOS and all it did was instead of giving me a BSOD every time i was playing a game it just turned the game of and said it "crashed". So the only solution i really did was to turn down the Performance Core ratio everyday so I can actually do something on my PC.

I will send you the other request on MAIL in a bit.

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I forgot to turn my cores to 53 today and it made my pc Blue screen 2 times. the first time it went so fast that I couldnt see what the CODE was. But the second time I got a glimps of it and it said something with EX... and 3 underscores "_" with (I am sorry i couldnt see it fast enough. I have it on the Event Viewer but i am not sure how to read what the problem was.

I have the same problem with the i9 -13900k processor, but my device keeps restarting by itself and sometimes it kicks me out of the game. The first solution I did was

1- I updated the bios, this solution failed.

2- I reduced the processor performance by two degrees and it did not work.

3- I updated Windows and GeForce and it did not work.

4- I deleted everything from the device and it still did not work.

So I do not know what the solution is. Can you reply as soon as possible?

Hello Wingus,

After reviewing the SSU, I noticed that your BIOS version is currently 0506, which is outdated. Please update it to the latest version, 1801. If the issue persists after updating the BIOS, feel free to reach out for further assistance.

Additionally, for the system crashes, please follow the steps outlined in the Troubleshooting Tips for Random System Crashes on an Intel® Boxed Processor.

Hello Wingus,

I apologize for the confusion regarding the BIOS version. Based on the SSU logs you provided, the BIOS version on your computer is 0502, not 0506. Upon checking the ROG website, the latest available version is 2801.

To ensure optimal performance, please update your BIOS to the latest version and set it to Intel default settings after updating.

Since I have not received a response from you, I will be closing this inquiry. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
