What is the general diff.between a "Dual Core" and a "Core 2 Duo" CPU?
Both have (as far as I know) 2 CPU cores.
How much faster is roughly a Core 2 Duo in comparison to a Dual Core (with same Mhz)
Is there somewhere a side-by-side comparison table?

Peter,
If by "Dual-Core" you mean "Pentium Dual-Core," then it is basically a Core 2 Duo with less L2 cache and (often) a lower Front-Side Bus (FSB) speed. And a Core 2 Duo performs slightly faster than a Pentium Dual-Core of the same clock and FSB speed.
If on the other hand you really mean the older "Pentium D," then it is of an older architecture than the Core 2 processors; in fact, the Pentium D was based on the NetBurst architecture of the Pentium 4 processor.
