high temperature at i5 8400

My i5 8400 processor reaches incredible 80 ºC. in less than 1 hour of play. (games like BF1, Deus ex etc). is this temperature considered stable? I noticed that after a while playing, small constant crashes happen. Does this occur because of the high temperature ??

I'm using stock cooler

This temperature is perfectly fine and perfectly normal - and, in fact, is lower than many other folks are experiencing. Any crashes you are seeing are related to other issues, not temperature. In fact, you could be even hotter and still not be seeing temperature-related failures.
