i got a intel core i5 520M, and i want to replace it, but i don't know what kind of CPU fits in the socket. please help

On a laptop this old, it probably isn't worth the trouble. Regardless, we can't help you here. You need to contact the OEM who built this laptop. Only they can tell you what, if any, processor upgrades are possible.

Thank you, but i still like to boot up my old laptop. If replacing the processor is not the best option, what is?
