i5 3470 on z77 chipset max memory

My setup:

Asus P8Z77-V (Z77 chipset) http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V/ http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V/

i5 3470

G.Skill http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1600c9d-16gxm RipjawsX - F3-1600C9D-16GXM - G.SKILL DDR3 Memory

I just added a second memory kit, so I now have 32GB (4 * 8GB).

However, Bios only recognized 16GB. Windows uses only 16GB

When running CPU-Z it recognizes all 4 dimms. (total shows 32GB)

The CPU spec says Max memory 32GB (dependent on memory type).

What does "dependent on memory type" mean? How can I tell if my modules suppose to work?

Thanks,

Yoav

Hello, yoavain:

Could you please let me know the BIOS version installed?

Regards,

Amy.

I was on latest BIOS 2104.

Managed to get it working after trying a few BIOS/ME combinations.

What worked for me was flashing BIOS 2003 and then flashing ME only from BIOS 1805 (8.1.2.1318) using FTK.
