Hi Guys,
I have just finished building a PC I haven't installed the operating system yet. The specs are Asus Sabertooth Z87 Mobo Intel i7 4770 processor with stock cooler 2 x 4 gig of RAM Corsair Vengance EVGA GeForceGTX 760 graphics. 650W XFX XTR Series Modular power supply Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 case
It all went together well and booted up OK, I have no intention of over clocking, I ran it for a bit over an hour today and the CPU slowly built up to 50C and stayed there the ambient temperature was about 23C and this was when it was in Bios and no Operating system installed I haven't changed anything in Bios CPU fan speed is set to Standard and is 1030 to 1050 Rpm CPU Voltage is 1.056V
The stock cooler has it's thermal medium in three strips and I worry if I were to replace it with paste I will void my warranty. What are my options do I contact my retailer and get a RMA for a new one under warranty?

I understand this is a new computer and the processor is reporting 50C temperatures.
As far as I can tell, this processor is running quiet normal, based on the processor specifications, the maximum temperature is 73C.
Here the information about your processor:

Thanks Allan I ended up getting onto intel live chat and the lady was very helpful she advised me that it was ok and to put on the operating system which I have done. She also said I would not void my warranty if I replaced the thermal paste. I also set all the fans from standard to turbo and though they are not running that much faster (they might if it gets really hot) it is running cooler and perhaps my paste is still in the burn in period.
