I have an i7 laptop that I wanted to put on my desktop mobo that can take i7 and i7 extereme processor. Is this possible? I don't really need the laptop because the screen is too small for my games. Please let me know.
You need to contact the desktop motherboard manufacturer and ask them for a fully compatible processors list, so you can check if the laptop processor is listed as compatible for your desktop motherboard.
