Hello,
I have an instability with my system consisting of :
- i9 12900k
- ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4
- 4* 16GB Trident Z RGB, XMP@ 3200,16/18/38
- 4090
The system becomes highly unstable with XMP on and still with XMP off and at stock settings, a CPU test with OCCT makes BSODs directly from the beginning.
Any hints/tests to test what's hapenning ? Both CPU & Motherboard are still under warranty.

Ok,
After 3 Weeks of waiting I gave up and bought a new I7-13900k. I just installed it yesterday with the replaced motherboard. Apparently there are no problem anymore with the tests on OCCT, the processor is throttling when it reaches 100C.
I really want to emphase that I'm not happy with how Intel Switzerland deals with the delay of an RMA, forcing me to buy a new processor.
Nevertheless, I want to thank you for your presence and answers on this Thematic Jose.
Best regards

Update : apparently the Core Voltage is too low. An offset of +0.045V makes the BSOD disappear. I will test the stability now and update.

Hello @Twan
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
Was the issue resolved? If it persists, please check this: Blue Screen Error (BSOD) While Using Intel® Processors
Also, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.

Hello @Jose_Intel,
Thank you for replying, I tried a most if not all the stuff mentioned on your BSOD Support page.
in the meantime, I moved 2*16GB RAM after an error in memtest86 and switched back from the most recent 2703 Asus Bios to an older one 2305. A windows memtest this evening as mentioned in the provided BSOD support page was clean, 0 errors.
It is a bit more stable now, but I still have BSOD when doing a CPU small FFTs from OCCT. Also, the OCCT power test is eating up to 270W of the CPU and ends up with a system freeze or a BSOD. So the problem is still not solved.
Originally I tryed to debug with Intel XTU. In the one click OC, there were an offset of +0.045V and limitations of 240W on the short power max wattage, and a max current of 370A. Suprinsingly there were no BSOD anymore, neither in the small FFTs test nor on the power test of OCCT. As if XTU would take control of stuff which can not be controlled anymore on the Motherboard or CPU. But I turned back to vanilla BIOS Settings and the problem came back.
I'm sending The SSU Info file in attachment and looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards
Twan

Hello Twan
Thank you for patiently waiting.
Have you tried a clean Windows installation?
Also, can you test the system with the BIOS default settings?
Best regards,
Jose B.

I tested this morning a fresh windows install, same thing happened. Also with default settings in the Bios.
I gave the board and the CPU back to Digitec in Switzerland this afternoon. The board will be automatically replaced and Intel Switzerland will maybe test and or replace the CPU.

Hello @Twan
Thank you for the confirmation. We are sorry to hear about the RMA process.
In the meantime, we're glad to hear that the problem has been resolved by replacing the processor, now it's time to enjoy your computer. As the issue is now fixed, we'll be closing the thread. If you require further assistance, please start a new question as this one will no longer be monitored.
It was a pleasure to assist you.
