There is alot to consider here. Does the CPU match the FSB , will it operate in the range of your RAM , is it the same socket , can it be used with the chipset you have now ???

Please contact DELL* and ask them if the processor that you want to install on your DELL* system will work on it.

They are the ones that determine which processors will be compatible with their systems.
