Enable the Enhance Intel SpeedStep® Technology on the BIOS of your laptop, this will force the processor to run always at maximum speed.
If you do not know how to access the BIOS of your laptop, please contact the laptop manufacturer.
Also install all available updates for your operating system and any running application, and finally install the latest BIOS version for your laptop.
