Booting problems with uart

Hi everybody, 

we've a custom board with a Cyclone III EP3C55, sdram 32 mB, EPCS64 and other components; we're using a system with Nios 2 and Uclinux. We've just added datacache in our project and we've noticed some booting issues, in particular system stops running after "Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the Kernel" (using uart as console). 

We've noticed that the problem disappears using jtag as console. 

Any suggestions?
