Can't find spi/i2c HAL's API in handbook

Hello, 

 

I am new with NIOS II. 

For now, I first try to verify that we have the required APIs. 

But searching for spi/i2c APIs in hal reference in "NIOS II Software development handbook", I did not find any mention of it. 

 

Does spi/i2c supported in HAL ? if yes - why I can't find it in the HAL reference.

Hi, 

 

SPI/I2C are supported in HAL. Please refer to Embedded Peripherals IP User Guide (https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/ug/ug_embedded_ip.pdf) for HAL description of these controllers. 

- Section 5.4 for SPI Core 

- Section 11.7.6 for Avalon I2C Master Core
