hi hippo, I am having Fedora core 2 or 3. Is it ok to work for Nios uClinux port development. Can you tell me, why the fedora is needed, why not redhat 9.0? Thanks & Regards, Goutam

Redhat linux distribution became Fedora Core many years ago. The latest FC is FC5. You can download the DVD iso. You can use latest slackware or Ubuntu. But they do not have Chinese support. I prefer slackware, it works with many other buildtools. You can also try Mandriva or others.
