How to program NIOS 2 software image into EPCS by using SRunner?

Hi, all. 

 

I would like to use the SRunner to programme the FPGA configuration/hardware image and NIOS 2 software image to the EPCS device. 

 

In AN 418, it provides the method of converting FPGA configuration image to Raw Programming Data (RPD) file, and using the RPD file as the input of SRunner. However, it doesn't mention any thing about how to programme the NIOS 2 software image by using SRunner. 

 

Here comes my question: how should I add the NIOS 2 software image into a RPD file ? Is it ok that converting NIOS 2 software from ELF format to binary format and just appending it to the RPD file ?
