Many embedded products today has a built-in upgrade function that allows the firmware to be upgraded using e.g. FTP from a Web browser or from a tool suite.
Has anyone done this for NIOS II or is it acually possible today ? The upgrade has to be 100% safe, it should be possible to recover from a power loss during the upgrade. Thanks in advance! Jan Ulvesten :-)Link Copied

To do this you need to use one of the boot monitors available for Nios II, i.e. either Redboot or UBoot. Both of these are available for download through this forum (Redboot is provided with the eCos operating system, but does not require you to boot an eCos application).
