Memory Presets for DDR2 SDRAM High Performance Controller in SOPC Builder

I need to interface with the Micron DDR2 SDRAM (MPN:MT47H32M16 HR-25E:G) in SOPC Builder, however, the available memory preset cannot be found in the "Memory Presets" list.

There is an option "Modify parameters..." for me to change the parameters by referring to the datasheet, but the settings are really long and i thought it will be error prone to change that.

Thus, I would like to ask where can I find the approved "Memory Presets" for the Micron DDR2 SDRAM High Performance Controller (MPN:MT47H32M16 HR-25E:G), so that the presets can be imported through "Load Presets...".

Did you ever find a resolution to this? I am having the same issue and things aren't working robustly.

I am on the same boat. If anyone has proven presets for the MT47H32M16-25E please post them, they will be appreciated by more than one person.

hi

you need to do your custon preset....... use a exist preset in sopc and modify looking in your memmory datasheet

at datasheet had all parameters you need ( rows , col, timming, etc)

at sopc had a preset to micron 16M / 8x4 ....... your memmory look a 8M / 16x4 .... is not difficult to do this modifications

good luck

Well, timing parameters can have minimums, maximums, or both. How much margin to leave for each? I'm making two presets, one exactly at the borders of the ranges, and one being a little relaxed, maybe 10%, in theory sacrificing performance for reliability.

However there are some glitches to this approach. For example, tAC in the datasheet is -400ps < tAC < 400ps, but the presets window requires a value from 350ps to 750ps. Seems a bit strange, since I'd like to put 0ps (right in the middle of the range), but I guess the closest I can get is 350ps. Am I missing something?
