The time limited sof file that ships with the kit can cause problems. If you cancel the warning message after downloading the sof the processor will hang. The solution is to skip the down loading of the time limited sof. When the board powers up it uses a sof that is the same as the time limited version without the time limit. Thus, skip steps 3-7 on page 19 of the Quickstart guide.
