Hello all,

I tried the 'NIOS II Application and BSP from Template' using a previously developed sopcinfo file, but the NIOS II console showed empty.

Here's what it says in the console:

Using cable "USB-Blaster [USB-0]", device 1, instance 0x00
Processor is already paused

Hi Naccy,

I do not understand your desciption regarding the matter.

May I know which document which you refer for your work?

You mentioned about no display but able to see the logs from the console.

Thanks.

HI Aik,

Previously, I tried several examples in order to have some basic idea about the NIOS II system development. Unfortunately, all failed.
Yesterday, I followed the steps from youtube: https://youtu.be/KjagfaiWuBM?si=cw8z-C7mycZCK3dy , when run into hardware, console did show me something, but NIOS II console totally empty.

What can I do for this situation? I dont think it is design or procedure issue.

Regards,
Naccy

Hi Naccy,

May I know what is the board which you are using?

I see that there is something is different from my side as compared to your logs:

Using cable "DE-SoC on 10.107.209.7:3589 [3-1.2]", device 2, instance 0x00

Pausing target processor: OK

Initializing CPU cache (if present)

OK

Anyway I suspect that you are using the wrong example project for your board.

Try to find an example project for the board which you are using for reference to run:

Thanks.
