I have seen the talk between you and luaen99z,I also have a question about DMA,my system is using PCI to collect video signal,in my SOPC system,there is PCI IP ,DMAC and self designed compent ,now the question is ,when I don't choose the burst mode,I can receive any numbers I want ,but the address which is from DMA read master change once need 5 avalon clock.when I choose the burst mode,and the burst size is 1024 words,I can only receive 1024 words maximum, but the address change once only two avalon clock.
the produce I am design must can collect any number I need,and with fast speed,if don't choos burst mode in DMA,it is too slow,but chose burst mode ,the maximum is 1024,it is two small.
the question how can I collect any number with the best efficiency? Expect your reply.
