Hi all,
Just want to find out which toolchain I should use for building uclinux-dist with no MMU. This wiki seems to suggest that I can use pre-built binary toolchain (no mention of whether it is suitable for building MMU or no MMU system though). [nioswiki.com/OperatingSystems/UClinux/BinaryToolchain] But this is built in 2008. Is this going to be a problem? This wiki on the other hand seems to suggest that I clone this binary toolchain using git git clone git://sopc.et.ntust.edu.tw/git/toolchain-mmu.git [nioswiki.com/Linux/Downloading_Linux_Distribution] As this toolchain is named with mmu in it, may I know if this is good to compile uclinux-dist with no MMU as well? And lastly, of the two sources of toolchains above, which one should I be using? Because at the moment I'm just trying to eliminate problems I'm having with cross-compiling uclinux-dist for my NEEK. Thank you in advance. ChiangLink Copied

Hi, if I remember correctly, the pre-built binary toolchain is good to compile no MMU system.

Guys,
Check the Virginia Tech CCM Lab wiki page. It provides detailed information on how to install uClinux on NIOS2 in general, and Terasic DE2-70, DE4 and DE0-Nano board in particular. The process of compiling uClinux for NIOS2 is also discussed. Tony
