Hi lads , does any body know haw to solve this one :

It is likely that you are using a flash-programming FPGA design which

was not created for your target board.[/b]

- I can program my EPCS all right with the JTAG, so my JTAG_UART is fine.

- I am using a 1 MBytes 29LV081B-70 Flash with Thold = Tsetup = 40 ns and Twait = 160 ns

- I have try to increased my PLL clock from 50 MHz to 70 MHz, without success.

does anybody have any ideas ???.

gregoryw,

This message means that programming is failing in the first step, downloading the programming .sof to the board. This programming operation is downloading to the FPGA -- if you have a different JTAG header on your board that you were using for the EPCS chip independently, you might double check to see that the cable is correct.

I can program the EPCS with the JTAG using the flash programmer , and I can also use it to debug on the IDE console when I am using OnChipMemory, so I think the JTAG is OK. Any others ideas ?.

An update : when I run the memtest from the SRAM and I try to test my flash, I get the following message :

or just press <enter> to open "/dev/ext_flash")

it seems that my AMD flash can not be reconized. So I m wondering if there is a list somewhere in the ALTERA sources that tells how to reconize if a flash is an AMD an INTEL or something else ???.
