I programed the provided file via JTAG and then ran Nios2-terminal.exe, but the terminal hangs in the middle of the process. See image below. Because the terminal hangs, I hit control-c to cancel the terminal. If I then attempt to rerun “Nios2-terminal.exe”, the terminal appears to remain hung from the previous attempt.

Hi,
Greetings and welcome to Intel's Forum.
1) May I know the Simple Socket Server design example that you are using? Could you kindly attach the link here.
2) May I also know the Quartus version you are using for your Simple Socket Server example? As there are some version of Quartus that does not support the simple socket server design.
3) I have here a KDB that might be related to your issue for your reference: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/programmable/articles/000086010.html
4) You may also refer to the user guide for more information to interact with the Simple Socket Server on NIOS II console: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683574/21-3/interacting-with-the-nios-ii-simple.html
Hope this information helps. Thank you.
Regards,
Kelly
