I don't think that the Nios II is compatible with the APEX devices. Surely someone else can confirm this?

http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif The NIOS II is compatible with with APEX devices. The issue with the board is need for SDRAM c/w flash and an ethernet connectivity board. Microtronix does sell such boards but cost would exceed the $295 price of their Cyclone uKit board which runs NIOS II at over 110MHz. http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif and comes pre-loaded with Linux. So unless your stuck on APEX, you should move up to Cyclone and save time and money.
