What application do you have running on your system? Are you using LWIP? Linux?
If I'm not mistaken, it's the IP stack that responds to ping requests.- Mark as New

yes linux, but i don't use the lwip, i thought it is only for a daughterboard, but my mac is directly on the board. does it not work without the lwip??

It'll work without LWIP, I just needed some more background before we went any further.
After you powered up your board, did you provide an IP address for your network adapter? Can you ping from your board to another IP address?- Mark as New

yes i provided an ip but the ping doesn't arrive the target. only the arp request has been answered. now i tried also with support of the lwip, but it's the same. it doesn't matter whether i do it with support of lwip or not. but i don't know what's the easy way http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Hmm... if the arp request has been answered, then it sounds like there's another board out there with the same ip address... all the other symptoms seem to point to the same conclusion. Maybe you should try using another IP address? Or working on an isolated network?

hi,
can you tell me how you use the opencore ethernet mac? Do you use a Wishbone to Avalon bridge or do you use the maco-engineering port? Regards, Hans- Mark as New
