jtag uart max. Bytes per Second

Does anybody know how fast the jtag uart transmits the data. i mean in bytes per second.

we use the Euros OS and the software download with usb blaster to our ep2c50 @ 64MHz is between 14-17kByte / sec.

Is this the real maximum the jtag uart can transmit or is the limitation by the gdb / euros ?

as we use the euros os with the euros ide instead of the altera ide, i have no idea how fast the altera ide transmits a software download via usb blaster.

can anybody give me some information how much bytes per second is transmitted when the altera ide is use ? i use this ide for only smal testing purpose but my system is much toooooo fast to see the downloadspeed at the console.

thanks a lot
