niosII vs ARM

Why the niosII can only use the flash amd29LV065D? 

If I use other amd flash ,why the write_state,the read_state,hold_time are 

so hard to confirm? But if I use ARM ,I can programme the drive freely.I think  

everyone has to buy the altera nios develop board to study nios.
