Hey,

I guess printf blocks my program. When I connect the JTAG/blaster and open a terminal and let it print it runs again.

I use the default device driver and not the reduced "small" driver and I have a system timer, also selected in the BSP editor. (Should it consist of specific parameters?)

It would be awesome to solve it once and for all. I know a few threads discussed it already and there is this link from Altera: https://www.altera.com/support/support-resources/knowledge-base/solutions/rd12102004_5019.html but I couldn't solve it.
