selecting signals

I am now trying to work with incremental compilations. However and I am having trouble choosing some "post-fitting" signals in the node finder. My guess is that these nodes have been "compiled" out. These signals were available to me when I did a non-incremental compilation and I used "design entry" filter option. Is there any way to get access to these signals after the incremental compilation ?
