uCLinux howto get minimal footprint size

Hi people 

 

I am trying to get the uCLinux footprint size to a minimum. I need Flash fs, ROM/RAM fs, ethernet support. How small should I be able to get the footprint then??? 

If any of you can recommend some good books/links on the subject linux/uCLinux kernel in generel I would appreciate it very much. I really want to become kickass hardcore at this but I am finding it hard to get all my answers answered in a pace that I find acceptable.
