This production release provides certified OpenCL 1.2 support for Intel® Xeon® processors and for Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors on Linux* operating systems. This version of the SDK is targeted at developers of highly parallel applications including High Performance Compute (HPC), workstations, and data analytics, to name just a few.

The main benefits available with this new release include:

  • Accelerate performance and improve efficiency with Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors
  • Optimize performance for highly parallel applications with OpenCL* 1.2
  • Support for Red Hat* and SUSE* Operating systems
  • OpenCL development tools for code optimizations
  • Compatibility with applications developed with the Beta version

Dear developers,

Please note that for Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor support, you must install Intel® Manycore Platform Software Stack (Intel® MPSS) Update 3 or higher. Available at http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-manycore-platform-software-stack-mpss

Thanks,

Arnon
