Best and effective motherboard for 14700k is B760 or Z790. if B760 performs the best for K series CPU is the sufficient power was delivered by B760 VRM? If so will it be stable for a long term.
should I want to spend more in Z790 for the K series VRM?
I am not looking for more lanes like Z790. Just for effecient performance of the processor.

Hello MakerPro,
Thank you for reaching out. When selecting a motherboard for your Intel Core i7-14700k processor, it's essential to consider the chipset's capabilities. Here's a refined overview based on the latest information:
For the B760 Chipset, CPU overclocking is not supported. While B760 boards are generally sufficient for non-overclocked CPUs, their VRMs may not be as robust as those on Z790 boards. This could impact long-term stability, especially under heavy workloads.
For the Z790 chipset, CPU overclocking is supported, allowing you to maximize your i7-14700K's performance. Z790 boards typically feature higher-quality VRMs, ensuring stable power delivery, which is beneficial for both overclocked and non-overclocked systems.
For productivity-focused builds where system stability and longevity are paramount, investing in a Z790 motherboard is advisable. The enhanced VRM quality ensures consistent performance under demanding tasks, and the option to overclock provides flexibility for future performance tuning.
While B760 motherboards are more budget-friendly, they may not offer the same level of power delivery and stability required for intensive productivity applications.
In summary, opting for a Z790 motherboard would be a prudent choice to ensure your i7-14700K operates efficiently and remains stable over the long term.

Note: Overclocking is not recommended or supported by Intel as it may void your warranty and potentially damage your CPU. Please proceed with caution and at your own risk
I look forward to your response!
