I can change my netbook processor with Intel ® Atom ™ processor N455 (512K Cache, 1.66 GHz) and replace it with Intel ® Atom ™ Processor N2800 (1M Cache, 1.86 GHz)?

I've been thinking about changing your processor is compatible with the intel processor N2800?

Hello Agustin, thanks a lot for contacting us through the Intel Communities.

I would like to inform you that the 2 sockets are pin compatible; any of those processors will fit on your board.

However, I would recommend you to check with the laptop manufacture if this combination is possible, before getting the N2800 processor. Please check if this CPU is fully supported by their laptop and if they allow this kind of modification.

Sometimes, if you make changes on OEM systems, the product is not going to be covered under warranty anymore.

The N2800 is not available as a boxed unit. It is a 'Ball Grid Array' part (FCBGA in the specs) so it must be soldered to the motherboard by the system manufacturer.
