I7-13700k overheats extremely

I have a problem with my Intel processor and would really appreaciate some help.

I bought and assembled my PC 11 months ago. Everything worked fine, i could watch anything, play most demanding video games (i.e. "Cyberpunk 2077" 3440x1440, max settings). Until now. I was playing "Sunkenland", worked great for about 2 hours then suddenly game started to lag like crazy for about 10 seconds, black screen and after about 10-15 more seconds PC died. When i tried to turn it on again bios showed a warning: CPU overheat error. I decided to let it rest through the night and tried to turn it on again next day. Unfortunately - It boots to windows desktop, after max 15 seconds starts to thermal throttle like crazy and again - black screen and dead.

I gave it some time to rest again and booted it to BIOS. There i can see that right after bios starts CPU has ~40°C and then starts to rapidly heat up about 5 degrees per second. Temperature stabilize on 89-90°C for about 2-3 minutes while in BIOS, then computer shuts down again.

Processor was never overclocked in any way. All BIOS settings except for DDRAM memory profile was set to auto/default.

My hardware:
Processor: Intel I7-13700k
AiO: beQuiet! Pure Loop 360mm
Thermal paste used: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z790-P
Memory: Kingston Fury 32 GB (2x16 GB) DDR5 6000Mhz CL40
PSU: beQuiet! Straight power 11 850W 80 Plus Gold
2 x Kingston KC 3000 nvme (1 TB and 2 TB)
Zotac AMP GeForce 4080
Case: FractalDesign Define 7

So far i tried to reset BIOS to default settings (no effect). I checked if maybe AiO water block on the processor came loose but it is super tight, as always. There is no visible mechanical defect. My other thought - maybe AiO pump broke. But even if that was true -there is some heat capacity on water block, it should prevent processor from overheating in 15 seconds AND it should become also very hot. Meanwhile i simply touched this block when BIOS showed 90 °C on processor. Water block was maybe barely human body temperature, probably a bit colder.

I have no idea what may be source of this problem. (Temp sensor fault? Have no idea how to check that). Any tips will be much appreaciated.

For this scenario, it is important to mention that the T-junction for the Intel® Core™ i7-13700K processor is 100°C. Any temperature result lower or equal to the value is considered normal and expected for this unit:

In order to rule out any possible hardware issue with the processor, please install and run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool. It does an overall test on the unit and if it passes the test, it means it is working properly:

Hello Albert, Thank you for your response and advice. I checked all the links you provided and read more about my problem. That led me to believe that overheating is not caused by any software problems, wrong configuration etc. but rather by a hardware malfunction. I decided that my PC should be diagnosed by a professional service technician. He discovered that the source of this problem was a broken AiO pump. I already contacted Be Quiet! - AiO manufacturer - about it's warranty.
