I9 9900k frequency only 2.1Ghz

Hello. I have an i9 9900k proccessor, but it only running at 2.1Ghz. I can’t overclock it, because in windows it will getting blue death. I have an Asus z370i and a 1000W psu.
I tried with another motherboard and 2 other psu, but the problem is the same.
Somebody can help me?
Is there such a problem?

In reference to your inquiry, just to let you know, the Processor Base Frequency of the Intel® Core™ i9-9900K Processor is 3.60 GHz, as you can confirm in the link below:

According to ASUS web site, the BIOS version the board needs is 1803 or higher, so please install the latest BIOS version for the board which is 2401, We suggest to contact ASUS directly to verify how to do the update to the latest version since it is not recommended to jump all the way to the final version:

Altering clock frequency or voltage may damage or reduce the useful life of the processor and other system components, and may reduce system stability and performance. Product warranties may not apply if the processor is operated beyond its specifications. Check with the manufacturers of system and components for additional details. So, make sure the BIOS is working with default settings and also look for an option called "Intel® Speed Step" disable it and test the unit, this feature sometimes it blocks the Intel® Processor from reaching the Processor Base Frequency.


Where are you seeing that the Intel® Processor is not going higher than 2.1GHz?

To confirm if the Intel® Processor is working fine, we can run the Intel® Processor Diagnostics tool, it does an overall test in the unit and if it passes the test it should be working fine:

Also to monitor the Processor Base Frequency, you can always run the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility:
