Intel Atom Z3560 (Moorefield) - Not Flashing Correctly

Hi,

I got an Asus Android S 8.0 Z580CA tablet with above mentioned processor.

The bootloader is bricked, so I got a black screen.

But xFSTK downloader communicates with the tablet over USB.

I tried to flash the binaries dnx_fwr.bin, ifwi.bin  and  droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin

All went well at start but then xFSTK returned an error right after FW: Sending DnX DCFI00 : ER04 - see log file here after.

Note that the xFSTK log file also speaks about Merrifield, while the processor is clearly Moorefield.

So I am left with some questions:

1) any idea how to work around the error or solve the problem?  What could be the cause for ER04?  And how to interpret that?

2) where could I download the latest binaries for the processor?

3) why does the xFSTK log mention Merrifield, in  stead of Moorefield?

This is an issue that you need to take up with the manufacturer of the tablet. Intel has no control over, or insights into, what the tablet's firmware is doing or how it is interacting with Android. Bottom line, you need to contact Asus for answers to your questions.
