Hello,
I just built a gaming PC with the following hardware.
Case: Lian li 011 dynamic xl rog edition
Motherboard: Asus Tuf B760 Plus Wifi DDR5 with last bios 1661 from asus
Proccessor: Intel i5-13600K
CPU Cooler: Noctua U12S Chromax 1 Fan, thermal paste coolermaster
GPU: Asus Tuf 4070 Super
Memory: G.Skill Kit 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 6000MHz Trident Z5 CL36 Black - F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RK
SSD: Western Digital SN770 1TB
Case Fans: 10 lian li 120mm fans
Power Supply: Seasonic vertex gx 850w
Operating System: Windows 10
Without running any games or programs my CPU temperature hovers around 50c.
When running World Of Tanks the CPU temp will hover in the 90c, if running cinebench hits 100c
In attachments have a picture gaming and other with before and after a cinebench run.
Is this CPU temp too high for this processor?
Is my CPU Cooler too small for this processor and I should try a bigger cooler?
Could the Processor be defective or something wrong in configuration ?
Are there any suggestions as to why my CPU temp is getting this high?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you.

Hi @Ricardo86
The CPU looks a bit hot for that frequency. It seems you have around 190W for your cooler to handle. I don't know if that is too much?
Can you undervolt with that motherboard? A negative offset of 0.05V might be a good start.

Go to Advanced->Ai Tweaker->Internal CPU Power Management in the BIOS. Then you want IA CEP, this may be set to AUTO. Set IA CEP to Disabled.
While you are in the BIOS there is a setting that will help with stability. This is Advanced ->Platform Misc Configuration->PCI Express Native Power Management, set this to Disabled.
Then try the stress test again.

Update
To validate that it was not the cooler, I replaced it with the Noctua D15S and put the grizzly kryonaut thermal paste and updated the bios to the latest one from the Asus website. Put some with temps, not hitting the 100C but closer.
I dont make changes at bios to validate with the new bios
At Cinebench test at multicore have 1245 Score
Bios have the default settings with XMP for RAM
Something not right
I dont know why sometimes I have lost a disk from being recognized only the Sata3 but appears at bios
Please help
Thank you

Thank you for reaching out to us and providing the detailed specifications of your new gaming PC build. Sharing the specific details of your hardware and observations you've made regarding your CPU temperatures is deeply appreciated.
To confirm, have you configured your BIOS Settings to Intel Default? Please see June 2024 Guidance regarding Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen K/KF/KS instability reports - Intel Community for the recommended configuration.
If you have further questions, kindly let me know.

I recently update for new bios 1663 from the asus and put the settings with “ Intel default settings”. At playing world of tanks I verified the processor at 30% load but in very high voltage 1,48v and the temperature hitting 86°c what I think a little high.
This high voltages and temperatures are normal in this situation?
Thank you for the help
Best regards

Hi Ricardo86,
Thank you for updating your BIOS and configuring it to Intel Default Settings
Kindly answer the additional following questions:
- When was the processor purchased?
- Is this a newly integrated system or an old one?
- When playing other games, is the CPU temperature the same or has other values?
We look forward for your reply!

Hi RobbieR_Intel,
Thank you very much for the reply.
- When was the processor purchased?
The processor was purchased in 20 of June of 2024
- Is this a newly integrated system or an old one?
It´s a all new system
- When playing other games, is the CPU temperature the same or has other values?
I recently carried out a new installation of Windows and played World of Tanks again and Black Myth wukong at the moment they are the only two that I have installed and I carried out a pass in cinebench 2024, the temperatures in cinebench worry me as well as the processor voltage I have maximum of 1.497v at 96ºC. In terms of games, the temperature is already more acceptable, 81ºC in Wukong and 83ºC in World of Tanks, however the processor voltage values I think are too high, 1,497 in Wukong and 1,493 in World of Thanks.
I attach prints of Cinebench test, World of thanks and Black Myth.
Are these high voltages related to the processor?
I'm a little worried about these voltages and the possible degradation of the processor
Thank you very much,
Best regards,
Ricardo Mateus

Update,
Following the previous message, I installed Warhammer Space Marine 2 and when playing it reached temperatures of 91ºC which are a little scary when just playing. I leave a print with temperature/voltage values as well as other values.
