Hello
I have a Acer Aspire E15-571G-759v W/c run by a Intel® Core™ i7-4510U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)..
How can i run it to 3.1 ghz because what ever i do, the max frequency that i get is only around 2.6 ghz and it says that its already running at 100%.. i try running different apps/video etc..i cant get to 3.1ghz.
Thanks

3.10 - maximum turbo boost frequency. First, it is possible to reach it only on single-threaded task with low idle activity of other apps and OS, not in multi-threaded tasks. Second, possible TB frequency depends to thermal profile, so check the temperatures, especially if notebook is long used - dust inside may result in temperature increase before CPU reached maximum frequency. The last, usage of CPU integrated graphics limit the maximum core frequency. Considering hybrid graphics, benchmark app should use a dedicated NVIDIA GPU in exclusive mode to minimize IGP usage and allow maximum frequency for CPU cores.
