Intel Processor

Never posted on a forum before but giving up with trying to find the answer and would rather ask direct.

I bought a Windows 11 gaming PC a few months back, had a rough time with a lot of crashes and games crashing on me so I did the usual update drivers and other general software bits but it's still crashing or blue screening so very often.

I have Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and when I turn Turbo Boost Short Power Max and Turbo Boost Power Max to 60 each my games don't crash, however sometimes when I boot up my PC blue screens and restarts and then resets it back to the default which is around 250 something.

So I'm at a cross road where I either let my games run without crashing intermittently every 5-40minutes or I put it at 60 and risk my computer blue screening whenever I turn it on.

I've also downloaded an Intel Processor Dianostic Tool to see if it'll help.

Is there a way I can actually fix this from happening? Also my Nvidia driver updates always fail to download too, not sure if that's related though, but I figure with everything else that's going wrong on this PC I may as well ask to see if it is

As your Acer Predator PO7-655 is a pre-built system support will be provided by Acer. The Acer BIOS/driver/software download page for your machine can be found here . This page does list a later BIOS that includes the 0x12B microcode update.

One of the software downloads available is Acer Care Center which may be able to check if any driver updates are required. It also seems to offer some hardware diagnostics.

Personally, I would return the PC.  But, you provided no information about the PC.

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Thank you

Any support would be appreciated, good news is I got my drivers updated I believe that was an Nvidia fault with their new app, not sure but either way graphics driver updated.

But still having the blue screening and over clocking, I also get a warning when trying to load up WoW that my drivers need updating but as far as I can tell they're fully updated? I'll catch the whole message and post:

"World of Warcraft has detected your computer is using an Intel 13th or 14th generation processor that does not have the proper updates installed to address the potential processor instability issues. It is highly recommended to update the BIOS on your motherboard to the latest version with Intel's microcode 0x12B or later.

CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF

Motherboard Name: Acer Predator PO7-655

BIOS Release Date 03/19/2024

Microcode Version: 0x11E"

Any help with this would also be helpful as maybe this is the cause of the crashes and blue screening?

Hey,

That link you sent with the BIOs update successfully removed the error message I was getting when trying to load the game, also I've installed Acer Care Center now to check the rest of the system.

Hopefully with these updates I should see an improvement with my system!

Thanks so much for the help
