Overheating i9 14900KF 14th Gen

Hi,

Having issues with the above CPU running at 99 or 100 C at anything over 7% CPU load or so. System is new and so far only had Win 11 installed and some applications installed but not really been asked to do much.

System is;

Intel i9 14900KF

MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi

32GB RAM DDR5

Latest version of BIOS on MB

Arctic Alpine 17CO Heatsink

All Mobo settings on default, so no overclocking and I haven't touched any voltage settings.

I've done the following;

Confirmed the BIOS is at latest version

Wiped and reapplied thermal paste to the CPU and Heatsink

Confirmed that the heatsink is properly seated

Run the Intel diagnostics software and it passes all tests

Run the MS CPU load app at maximum to stress test it

Run with the sides of the case off (it doesn't appear to be throwing out much heat)

Figures for overheating have come from the MSI Centre software and the Heatsink fan does start hitting 2.7K RPM's.

Anything else I can try or does anyone have any ideas why it's playing up?
