Screen/touchpad flickering

In new here and have a question.  

 

I have an HP Pavilion laptop that started flickering several months ago.  I looked into it and found out that i needed to update the drivers.  So i updated/installed the new drivers and this fixed the problem of the touchpad flickering.  Now it's back to flickering every time i start up the laptop and as soon as i touch the touchpad. I have to hard re-boot it immediately and then it works fine.  But doing this every time i turn on my laptop is starting to get annoying.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
