Estoy interesado en comprar el Procesador Intel® Core™ i7-4930MX Extreme Edition, caché de 8 M, hasta 3,90 GHz, pero necesito saber si es compatible con mi notebook Dell modelo Latitude E6540, agradecería que me pudieran informar para poder hacer el upgrade a mi notebook.

You need to contact dell and ask them which processors are compatible with their bios.  Then, you can select from those processors.
