Upgrading from AMD Athlon to Intel Processor - Need Advice!

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to upgrade my current desktop setup, which is running an old AMD Athlon processor. I'm considering switching to an Intel processor for better performance and compatibility with newer software. Could you recommend a suitable Intel processor for this upgrade?

Here are a few specifics:

• My primary usage includes gaming, video editing, and multitasking.

• I'm looking for something that balances performance and budget.

• Any suggestions on compatible motherboards and other necessary components would also be appreciated.

That link does not show your old AMD processor.

You will need a new motherboard, memory, cooling, procesor, and likely a new power supply.  And, if going that ffar, new storage as well.

We do not do configurations here.  Best to go to some site like Toms Hardware.  Better yet, look at a prebuilt  system; Dell, for example.
