What is the difference, speed-wise, between a T6600 and an i3 processor?

I need to get a new laptop and will be running Dragon NaturallySpeaking (voice recognition) on it. I need a fast processor for such a app. I am looking at laptops that I can afford and have narrowed it down to one with a T6600 2.2GHz processor and one with an i3 2.13GHz processor. Which is going to be faster and more responsive?

Thanks.

Alex
