Well I'll be darned!
Thank you greatly! I was trying to figure out to make use of the feature filter but either didn't understand or was too impatient to use it.
Unfortunately the information is a little too late as I've already decided to go with the 5500 sequence. It was the oldest one I found that supported quad core and hyperthreading and I've managed to find a great deal on a Dell C2100 chassis with two E5530's installed.
Many many thanks for your help! I will still look to see if the server options for those processors are more affordable but the deal I found on the C2100 is great.
