Hi,
may I know what is the normal operating temperature for an i7-6700T processor?
I bought a mini desktop (HP EliteDesk 800 G2 35W Desktop Mini), so the cooling is not that great.
At idle, temperature is at 40~45 degree Celsius. When in use, it is at about 52~65 average, but could hit 75 degree Celsius sometimes (not frequent).
Thanks for answering.

Hello Jonathlee,
Thank you for contacting the Intel community.
This processor can operate without issues at 80°C and 90°C, however the TCASE is 66°C as you can see here:

When running about 52~65 you will be fine, one thing I recommend is to have your system BIOS up to date and as well to run Windows update to have Windows up to date.
Best regards,
Ivan.

Hello Jonathlee,
I just want to let you know that Intel is currently investigating the spiking behavior on certain Kaby Lake processors; at this stage the investigation is ongoing so no further details have been provided yet.
Soon, we will have some updates that will be posted on the following thread; /thread/110728 https://communities.intel.com/thread/110728.
Regards,
Ivan.
