Hi,

Please can someone check Amazon.co.uk and tell me what is the different between B086ML4XSB and B0883P8CNM.

I’ve asked Amazon, they’ve said one is unlocked and the other isn’t. However, in the images, both show the same “unlocked”
CPU.

Many thanks.

Hello @KingMing

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We understand that you are wondering about the difference between B086ML4XSB and B0883P8CNM. We understand these are "ASIN" codes and this stands for "Amazon Standard Identification Number", which seems to be an internal code used by Amazon*. For more details, please go to this link What are UPCs, EANs, ISBNs. and ASINs?*

Regarding the information, descriptions, images, etc on the Amazon links, it is worth mentioning that we cannot endorse the content on third-party websites. For instance, one of the links (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B086ML4XSB) shows different CPU models between the link title/description (i7-10700K and Intel Ordering Code BX8070110700K) and the section Technical Details (Core i7-4980HQ) so the recommendation is to verify the information with the author, in this case, Amazon* or the seller.

Just for clarification purposes, the Intel® Core™ i7-10700K Processor is an Unlocked CPU, the Intel® Core™ i7-4980HQ Processor is not.

Unlocked CPUs are optimized for enthusiasts looking to get high-performance overclocking for an added boost or for specific CPU tunning by adjusting the CPU’s clock multiplier. To review if a processor is Unlocked, you can check the Suffix that follows the CPU SKU number. Suffixes "K" and "X/XE" refer to Unlocked CPUs. For more details, please check Intel® Processor Names and Numbers.
